Our team

Oxford Cryosystems was founded in 1985, and the company has now been making open flow coolers for X-ray diffraction for over 30 years.

Over the past few years, we have built upon our expertise to incorporate a range of Gifford McMahon (GM) Cryocoolers into our product range and these are now sold globally, with our biggest single project involving the supply or large number of coldheads to the Meerkat telescope, the precursor to the Square Kilometer Array. Many of the key staff today have been with the company since its early days and have seen it grow into a global market leader in its field.

In 2017, Oxford Cryosystems joined Judges Scientific plc group, an AIM-listed company specialising in the design and production of scientific instruments.
