Cryostream

The Oxford Cryostream Cooler was first launched over twenty years ago, and we like to think during that time, Oxford Cryosystems has helped optimise data collection at low temperatures.

When the 500 series Cryostream was first built in labs at the University of Oxford, low temperature devices were a rarity. Of course, nowadays, almost every X-ray lab has at least one low temperature device, but we are proud that the Oxford Cryostream is still the most popular LT device amongst crystallographers everywhere. Over the past 20 years, our development staff have refined, added to and optimised the original design to result in today's 700 series, the most elegant, efficient and reliable open flow cooler in its class!

But we haven't stopped there: Years of asking our customers exactly what they want from their LT device have led to even more innovations- including our Cryostream Plus with a wider temperature range of 80-500 Kelvin, and the new Cobra, for those who prefer to use gaseous rather than liquid nitrogen.

Oxford Cryosystems also enjoys an excellent reputation for technical support, ensuring complete peace of mind for our customers.
