A challenge facing people who wish to cool or heat capillary samples is ensuring that the whole sample is cooled or heated to the desired temperature. To achieve this, the optimal alignment is co-axial with the capillary. However, with vertical goniometer geometry, this means the gas delivery nozzle of the Cryostream should be mounted horizontally, which can prove cumbersome in smaller X-ray enclosures.
Enter the Cryostream Compact. This system has been developed from the well known nitrogen gas Cryostream Cooler and has been optimised for use with capillary samples allowing it to be used where space is limited.
This version of the Cryostream has been built to the same high specification as the 700 series, and benefits from the same extended temperature range of 80-500 Kelvin as the Cryostream Plus.
The Cryostream Compact also has a shorter liquid nitrogen transfer line and can be used with a small Dewar vessel. This allows the entire system to be located within the X-ray enclosure, making it particularly suitable for working within a sealed enclosure.
Existing Cryostream customers have the option to trade-in their old 500 or 600 series for a significant discount on the Cryostream Compact. Simply contact us for details and costs involved.
